Expired Version Support

wrapperS

We generally releases one major version of the software per year. Our product life-cycle is maintained so that versions are supported two years back. Code fixes are performed on product versions released 12 months prior. From time to time, certain features and/or functions in the product may be obsolete. This page will list these areas, for your convenience. Be sure to check in periodically for visibility into future versions we are working on.

  • 'Only Moderator may use Telephone' option (under Event Settings g Audio) is no longer available.
  • The 'Maximum number of Participants' setting was removed from the UI.

  • Non Transferable Recordings (NTR) will be removed in V7.2.
  • Job title category will be removed in V7.2.
  • Self registration to ICC will be removed in V7.2.
  • Editing the Email invitations per Participant application (C++ or Java) will be removed in V7.2.
  • In V7.0 the Interwise Participant and Moderator applications have been merged into one application, and, as a result, some features are no longer supported.
  • Netscape browser support
  • Self Excercise Mode (SEM) - This option was removed from V7, including in the following locations:
    • The Self-Exercise button on the Moderator toolbar.
    • The Self-Exercise menu option in the Moderator Tools menu.
    • The Self-Exercise mode checkbox in the offline Insert dialog box.
  • Java thin client - voice over the computer support (will be expired in 7.2)- will be exchanged with a thin browser-based client (AJAX technology) and/or connection by phone only.

Note: In V7, when working with Event Materials created by a pre-V7 Moderator application and which contained files inserted with the SEM attribute, when the file(s) are loaded by the Moderator they will be opened with an external application outside the Whiteboard (as in previous versions), but the Participant application will not automatically be minimized. In addition, the small floating SEM window (with the Raise Hand icon) will not be displayed.

C. Version 8.2 (Q1, 2008) Expired Features and Functions:

  • HTTP-based API calls and links - will no longer be supported. This item is relevant for integrations into Interwise.  Only XML-based calls (available since version 6.0) will be supported by the ICC.  HTTP-based integrations will need to be changed.
  • 'Self-registration to ICC ' option to have users register independantely to ICC.
  • Java thin client - will be exchanged with a thin browser-based client (AJAX technology).  Some current features of the Java client will not be available immediately but others will be introduced.  Be sure to check back later this year for more details.
  • 'Java/C++ email templates ' option.  The ability to choose between multiple email templates based on client application type will be removed.
  • The 8.0 Outlook Addin (which will be released in December, 2007) will not support Outlook 2000.
  • Version 8.0 Participant will not support native Powerpoint animations on Office 2007, except in DHTML mode.
  • In Version 8.x, support for SQL 2000 will be expired. Customers upgrading from older versions to v8.2 will need to purchase SQL 2005 licenses for the upgrade.

D.
